PROLINTAS Digital Assist
Crafted with the intention of providing PROLINTAS highway users with real-time traffic information, regular traffic updates, and the ability to send SOS signals for assistance.

Introduction
PROLINTAS Digital Assist is here to support highway users with emergency response and public announcements.
Originally launched in 2018, the stakeholder recognized the need to enhance user experience and make the app even more user-friendly and efficient with a redesign and exciting new features, including live traffic updates, feedback submission, and much more.
My role
From start to finish, I took charge of the design process and actively engaged stakeholders to gather their valuable feedback. Working closely with multiple developers, I ensured a smooth collaboration until the mobile app was ready for its grand debut to the public.
Problem
The stakeholder has come to the realization that the mobile app's design is outdated and requires a complete overhaul. This decision was prompted by the app's low download numbers on Google Play Store, with only about 100 downloads.
The app navigation bar design is outdated which hinder the overall user experience, making it challenging for users to navigate through the app smoothly.
Goal
The goal of the project is to revitalize the mobile app by conducting a comprehensive redesign and implementing modern features and functionalities. The aim is to enhance the overall user experience, boost user engagement, and attract a larger user base. By addressing the outdated design, improving app responsiveness, and incorporating essential features like real-time updates and personalized experiences, the project seeks to achieve increased user satisfaction, higher download numbers, and improved app performance on the Google Play Store.
Process
To kickstart the design process, I scoured the internet for inspiration from various resources.
During this search, I came across the Setel mobile app, which had gained popularity among Malaysian communities due to its appealing design and excellent user experience. Recognizing its success, I decided to take cues from Setel's design to influence my own approach in creating an engaging and user-friendly interface.

After an intensive month of collecting design feedback and iterating with stakeholders, we have reached the final design, which is now ready to move into the development stage.
Impact
Following a successful debut to the public, the app achieved a milestone of reaching 1,000 downloads within the first 12 months.
Wrapping up
Creating a design for mobile app is fun and challenging project. Through ideation process, I was able to redesign the app while adding new features which helps improve the app user experience, resulting in reaching 1,000 downloads on Google Play Store.
I’m happy with the end result which help me improved not only my UI design skills, but also my design ideation process and communication skills with stakeholders.
